September 9, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ ACWD Headquarters
The Alameda County Water District will host an “Alternatives to Lawn” workshop, in partnership with the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency (BAWSCA), on September 9 in Fremont.
Workshop attendees will discover the benefits of drought tolerant plants as an alternative to lawn, and learn how to create a water-efficient, low-maintenance landscape. Presenter Deva Luna, a seasoned horticulturalist, and manager and principal designer at a sustainable landscaping business in the Bay Area will lead the discussion.
Come and explore a variety of ways to create a beautiful and sustainable landscape that will conserve water, resources, and reduce maintenance costs.
This workshop is free and open to any resident in the Tri-City area. If interested, please register at: http://bawsca.org/conserve/programs/events
