Each year, ACWD sponsors its popular Water Conservation Poster and Slogan Contest for
grades 1-6. The theme of the contest is "Water is Life" and winning entries are published
in a calendar which is distributed to schools throughout Fremont, Newark and Union City.
Top winners receive gift certificates, and are honored at an awards ceremony during
Water Awareness Month in May. In addition, the three classrooms from which the grand
prize winners are chosen each receive a check for $100. For more information on how your
