Niles Cone Groundwater Basin Extraction Site Evaluation Project

Saltwater intrusion is a legacy of past groundwater over pumping of the Niles Cone Groundwater Basin. ACWD is conducting a groundwater study to collect data on the subsurface aquifer system to assist in groundwater modeling and assess water quality in this area.  The data is being collected to evaluate the health of our groundwater basin and judge if the area is suitable for saltwater removal.
