Background
The Main Renewal Fremont - Crestwood Street Project is part of the District’s Main Renewal Program. The project includes the design and replacement, via Fixed-Price Design-Build delivery, of approximately three miles of existing asbestos cement pipe with primarily 8-inch PVC pipe. The project will utilize same-trench replacement which will necessitate a temporary bypass system to provide uninterrupted water service to customers during construction.
Status
A Design-Build Contract was awarded to West Valley Construction Company, Inc. in July 2025. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2026 and conclude in Spring 2028.
