Office of the General Manager

The Office of the General Manager (OGM) is comprised of the General Manager, administrative support for the Board of Directors and the General Manager, Human Resources/Risk, and Public Affairs. The Engineering and Technology Services, Finance, Operations and Maintenance, and Human Resources managers all report to the General Manager. In addition, the OGM is responsible for all coordination with ACWD's Board of Directors, including setting the agenda, providing public notices, and recording the District's regularly scheduled public board meetings.

The Human Resources / Risk Management Division provides the day-to-day administration of the District's personnel programs, including:

  • Job recruitment and selection
  • Classification
  • Compensation and pay administration
  • Employee benefits administration
  • Personnel documents and official personnel files
  • New employee orientations
  • Labor relations
  • Negotiations and grievance resolution
  • Retirement
  • Deferred compensation

Risk Management

Risk Management administers the District's insurance programs including:

  • Worker's compensation
  • Contracts and insurance review
  • Liability claims
  • General liability and property coverage
  • Liability analysis
  • Litigation management
  • Mediations
  • Settlements
