Background
This project installed a 6 million gallon per day ion exchange PFAS treatment facility. The project included installation of piping, pre-filters, pumps, filter vessels, electrical equipment, and miscellaneous civil and site improvements.
Construction by Myers & Sons began in December 2023. The new treatment facility was placed in-service in September 2024, while additional site restoration and automation equipment was installed through March 2025. The District is currently in the process of finalizing the project.
Location
The project is located at the District's Blending Facility at 1111 Mowry Avenue in Fremont.
