Background
The Project will involve the replacement of the reservoir’s existing roof and seismic strengthening of its structural system, together with a new reservoir liner, installation of ventilation and lighting, and new valves. Construction is scheduled to run from late 2024 to early 2026.
Location
The Project is located in Fremont, CA, between King Avenue and Appian Way. Access is through Florence Street in Union City.
CEQA
ACWD approved a Final Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) for the Project at its July 11, 2024 Board Meeting. During the 30-day public review period that ended on June 26, 2024, one comment was received. The comment and response are appended to the Final IS/MND
ACWD filed a Notice of Determination on July 12, 2024.
